Built by a teacher, for real family schedules

About Satchelbrook

Founded in 2012 by Teresa Vandermolen, a second-grade teacher who could not find the kind of after-school care she wanted for her own two children.

A nonprofit with a practical purpose.

Today, Satchelbrook cares for about 120 children each day. We are here for the stretch between the last bell and the end of a parent’s workday, with a dependable pickup routine, people who know the kids, and support that makes home life easier.

We are licensed by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services as a child care center, license 000000. We are fully insured, including our vans.
