The hours between school and home

A typical afternoon

Enough structure to make evenings easier. Enough choice to let kids be kids.

3:05–3:40

Arrive and settle in

Kids sign in, wash hands, and get ready for the afternoon.

3:45

Snack at the tables

Apple slices and cheese sticks, hummus and pita, or yogurt and granola. Our building is nut-free.

4:00–4:45

Homework hour

K–2 read with a staff member in the reading corner. Grades 3–6 work at homework tables, where staff check planners and sign reading logs. No homework means library books and math games.

4:45–5:30

Move, make, choose

Outside when we can, gym in winter, plus art, Lego builds, and Friday cooking club.

5:30–6:00

A calm handoff

Quiet games and reading while parents arrive. Sign-out happens at the front desk, with photo ID for anyone we have not met.

A choice worth looking forward to

There is room to move after the work is done.

Outdoor play, winter gym, art, Lego builds, and Friday cooking club give every child a way to join in.

Late pickup: $1 per minute after 6:05pm.
